Peru is the 10th largest exporter of coffee worldwide. Much of its coffee exports are produced and cultivated by cooperatives. Poor infrastructure in the country has drawn development groups, which have helped many Peruvian farms gain fair trade and organic certifications. The three largest coffee-producing regions in Peru are located on the eastern slope of the Andes: the San Martin Region, the Amazonas, and the Chanchamayo. Peru is the fifth largest exporter of Arabica coffee beans globally. Although Peruvian coffee is lesser known, it remains high in quality.

The coffees feature an earthy aroma and a smooth, creamy body. Their well-balanced fruity flavor contains mild acidity and leaves a clean aftertaste. Discerning palates may detect chocolate tones, malt, and a sweet, fruity aroma.

Those that like earthy coffees will surely enjoy this one.
